Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health has announced this morning the latest 60th reported death in Thailand from Covid-19 coronavirus and eight new confirmed positive cases, including three Burmese immigrants.
According to the Ministry, the deceased was a 66-year-old Thai national who was traveling to the United Kingdom and returning to the Kingdom on October 19 before being state quarantined at an Alternative Local State Quarantine (ALSQ) in Chonburi province.
He was found constantly panting during his isolation on the following day. Health officials then delivered him to Banglamung Hospital, where the patient was put on a tube. The hospital’s emergency department also collected his health data and a Covid19 throat swab sample.
The man had tested positive for Covid-19 on October 22 with underlying conditions of diabetes and high blood pressure. He was reportedly being treated at the hospital until he was pronounced dead today, November 6.
Additionally, three Burmese men, whose ages are 28, 29, and 41, have tested positive for the deadly virus after reportedly arriving via the Thai-Burmese border to the country on October 26.
They are reportedly working as truck drivers and were asymptomatic. All of them have already been transferred back to their home country for health treatments. They were not exposed to the general public.
