RECAP: Thailand discovers 822 new confirmed Covid-19 cases in past 24 hours

Thailand reported 822 domestic infections of new, confirmed Covid-19 Coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, with a vast majority in Samut Sakhon found during proactive case finding.

A total of 731 infected patients from the proactive approach were discovered mostly in Samut Sakhon with 722 while the minor infections were in Maha Sarakham with 4, Bangkok 1, Chonburi 1, Pathum Thani 1, Rayong 1, and Samut Songkram 1. All of them are now at provincial state quarantine and field hospitals under the supervision of public health authorities with no exposure to the general population. The majority were migrant workers at locations with no to limited exposure to the general public.

A number of 91 domestic infections were found in Samut Sakhon with 79, Bangkok 6, Nakhon Pathom 1, Nonthaburi 1, Khon Kaen 1, Ratchaburi 1, Lop Buri 1, and Samut Songkram with 1.

About 110 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now had a total of 18,782 cases with 11,615 recoveries since the start of the pandemic. There have been a total of 77 deaths.
