RECAP: Thailand reports 86 domestic cases among 92 new Covid-19 daily cases in past 24 hours

Thailand announced 86 domestic cases among a total of 92 new Covid-19 Coronavirus daily cases in the past 24 hours, the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) reported this morning, February 21st.

About 38 domestic infections were discovered in Samut Sakhon with 27, Pathum Thani with 10, and Ang Thong with 1 during proactive case findings in local communities, particularly in major factories, fresh markets, and migrant workers dormitories. All of them are now at provincial state quarantines and field hospitals under the supervision of public health authorities.

The majority of 48 infections were hospital/walk-in cases that were found in Samut Sakhon with 33, Pathum Thani with 7, Bangkok with 3, Ang Thong with 3, Khon Kaen with 1, and Chonburi with 1. All of the patients are now isolated at local and field hospitals for treatment.

A new confirmed case in Chonburi was a medical worker in Banglamung who was working closely with Covid-19 patients in state quarantine. Five low-risk contacts have been identified, two of them tested negative so far. The patient is now isolated in state quarantine. More details can be found in the article below:

As of today, 156 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 25,415 cases with 24,285 recoveries and a total of 83 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
