Bangkok –

Three Thai nationals were arrested at a house in the Bang Kapi District of Bangkok today, February 21st, after reportedly discreetly operating more than 20 online gambling websites without legal permission.

The arrest followed a police investigation exposing that there was a house in Lad Prao soi 107 that had turned a residence into an illegal business company. Prasert Sudsawat, 25, Chanakarn Chanphimai, 25, and Nawarat Sae-Tae, 22, were found at the house during the police raid this morning.

A total of 6,200,000 baht in cash, 95 bank book accounts, 19 mobile phones, 8 sets of computers, a money counting machine, and an internet signal generator were discovered at the scene.

All of them allegedly confessed to being administrators of 28 gambling websites in the same network. They were taken to Lad Prao police station and initially charged with jointly organizing gambling operations, persuading others, advertising, and/or directly or indirectly allowing others to join illegal gambling under the Gambling Act, BE 2478.
