RECAP: Thailand reports 63 domestic infections among 72 new Covid-19 daily cases in past 24 hours

Thailand reported 63 domestic infections out of 72 new Covid-19 Coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, CCSA deputy spokesperson Apisamai Srirangsan announced this morning, February 25th.

A total of 43 local infections were walk-in/hospital cases that were discovered in Samut Sakhon with 27, Bangkok with 6, Pathum Thani with 2, Nakhon Nayok with 2, Ayutthaya with 2, Nakhon Pathom with 1, Tak with 1, Samut Songkram with 1, and Saraburi with 1. All of the patients are now isolated at local and field hospitals for treatment.

The other 20 cases were reported during proactive case finding in local communities, particularly in local markets, factories, and migrant workers dormitories, in Pathum Thani with 16, Samut Sakhon with 3, and Bangkok with 1. Most of them were asymptomatic. All of them are now isolated at provincial state quarantines and field hospitals under the supervision of public health authorities.

As of today, 680 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 24,786 cases with 23,583 recoveries and a total of 82 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
