RECAP: Thailand discovers 43 domestic infections among 60 new Covid-19 daily cases in past 24 hours

Thailand reported 43 domestic infections among a total of 60 new Covid-19 Coronavirus daily cases in the past 24 hours, the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) announced this morning, March 9th.

About 22 local infections were walk-in/hospital cases, including contact tracing, that were found in Samut Sakhon with 19, Pathum Thani 2, and Bangkok with 1. Most of them are Myanmar migrant workers and are asymptomatic. All of the patients are now isolated at local and field hospitals for treatment.

The other 21 cases were reported during proactive case finding in local communities, particularly in local markets, factories, and migrant worker’s dormitories in Samut Sakhon with 19, Pathum Thani with 1, and Nonthaburi with 1. All of them are being isolated at local and field hospitals under the supervision of public health authorities.

As of today, 74 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 26,501 cases with 25,851 recoveries and a total of 85 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
