RECAP: Thailand announced 67 new daily domestic cases of Covid -19, 11 imported cases and one dead

Thailand has announced 67 new domestic confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the Kingdom this morning (March 13th), with 11 imported cases for a total of 78 new confirmed cases of the virus with one new death reported.

The announcement was made by the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) in Bangkok.

Of the 67 new local cases, 33 were found through contact tracing and in hospitals, and 34 were found through active case-finding in local communities.

Samut Sakhon had the most with 48 cases, Bangkok had 13 cases and other provinces had 6.

One death was reported which was a female Thai patient who has diabetes with Hyperlipidemia (High lipid in blood).

She went and stayed in Samut Sakhon. On February 15th she started to have a fever and cough with muscle pain.

On February 19th she was confirmed with Covid -19 and was given treatment at a hospital.

On February 23rd, the patient struggled to breathe and she was provided a respirator.

She was pronounced dead yesterday (March 12th).
