Bangkok –
Thailand will continue to proceed with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine with the Prime Minister and cabinet members as the first group of vaccine recipients tomorrow morning, March 16th, after a sudden postponement last Friday due to concerns over blood clots reported among European vaccine receivers.
The inoculation announcement has been made following the confirmation of the World Health Organization (WHO) and European Medicines Agency that has shown that there is no connection between the vaccine and blood clots.
The injection process for the Prime Minister will be done by Dr. Yong Poovorawan, Chulalongkorn University virology specialist, at the Government House at around 8:30 AM.
However, reporters will not be allowed to witness the process, but it will be streamed live on the Thai government’s ‘Thai Ku Fah’ Facebook official page. The Live will also feature the Prime Minister’s overview of the National Resilience Strategic Plan and Public health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul’s overall vaccination management plan. The press is not allowed due to supposed “Covid-19” precautions.
The cover photo is taken from the PM’s regular flu shot last year.
