Bangkok –

An Italian national, whose name was only revealed to the press as Aldo, was arrested at a pizzeria located in the Thawi Watthana district in Bangkok yesterday, March 16th, after allegedly conducting child sexual abuse.

The arrest follows the complaint of the three-year-old girl’s parents, claiming that the man had taken their little daughter to his place and molested her on February 9th, 2021.

According to the parents’ statement to the police, Aldo reportedly approached the girl at around 8:00 P.M. on February 9th and started to befriend and play with the young victim. He reportedly offered her some food and told her to come home with him conducting child sexual abuse.

After a thorough investigation, Thammasala police then requested an arrest warrant from the Taling Chan Criminal Court over charges of molesting a girl under 15 years of age regardless of the victim’s consent and taking a minor away from her parents for the purpose of sexual harassment.

Aldo denied the charges upon his arrest at a local Italian restaurant. He was taken to the Thammasala Police Station for interrogation.
