RECAP: Thailand reports 61 domestic infections among total of 69 new Covid-19 daily cases in past 24 hours

Thailand discovered 61 domestic infections among a total of 69 new Covid-19 Coronavirus daily cases in the past 24 hours, CCSA assistant spokesperson Apisamai Srirangsan announced at a daily press briefing this morning, March 24th.

The majority of 44 local cases were walk-in/hospital cases, including contact tracing, that were confirmed in Bangkok with 30, Samut Sakhon with 6, Tak with 2, Pathum Thani with 2, Nakhon Pathom with 1, Nonthaburi with 1,  Samut Prakan with 1, and Nong Bua Lam Phu with 1.

The other 17 infections were reported during proactive case finding in local communities, particularly in local markets, factories, and migrant worker’s dormitories in Bangkok with 13, Samut Sakhon with 3, and Pathum Thani with 1. All of them are being isolated in quarantined areas under the supervision of public health officials with no public exposure.

As of today, 107 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 28,346 cases with 26,873 recoveries and a total of 92 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
