Thailand reported 28 domestic infections among a total of 39 new Covid-19 Coronavirus daily cases in the past 24 hours, CCSA assistant spokesperson Apisamai Srirangsan announced at a daily press briefing this morning, March 29th.
A number of 16 local infections were walk-in/hospital cases, including contact tracing, that were confirmed in Bangkok with 9, Samut Sakhon with 5, Maha Sarakam with 1, and Kalasin with 1. Most of them were Thai nationals and asymptomatic.
The other 12 cases were reported during proactive case finding in local communities, particularly in local markets, factories, migrant worker’s dormitories, and immigration detention in Bangkok with 6, Samut Sakhon with 5, and Ratchaburi with 1. All of them are being isolated in quarantined areas under the supervision of public health officials with no public exposure.
As of today, 74 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 28,773 cases with 27,313 recoveries and a total of 94 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
Today was the lowest number of Covid-19 cases officially announced in many weeks.
