RECAP: Thailand finds 24 domestic infections out of 42 new Covid-19 daily cases in past 24 hours

Thailand reported 24 domestic infections out of a total of 42 new Covid-19 Coronavirus daily cases in the past 24 hours, CCSA assistant spokesperson Apisamai Srirangsan announced this morning, March 31st.

The majority of 19 local infections were walk-in/hospital cases, including contact tracing, that were found in Bangkok with 8, Samut Sakhon with 8, and Samut Prakan with 3. Most of them were Thai nationals and symptomatic, according to the reports.

The other five cases were reported during proactive case finding in local communities, particularly in local markets, factories, migrant worker’s dormitories, and immigration detention in Samut Sakhon with 3 and Bangkok with 2. All of them were symptomatic and are being isolated in quarantined areas under the supervision of public health officials with no public exposure.

As of today, 47 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 28,868 cases with 27,426 recoveries and a total of 94 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
