A number of Thai stars and politicians have been confirmed with Covid-19 Coronavirus as of this afternoon, April 7th, following a new cluster of Covid-19 infections at entertainment venues in the Thonglor area of Bangkok.

Major General Sansern Kaewkamnerd, former director-general of the Public Relations Department, became the lastest politician who has been proven positive for the virus today. He is being treated at Phramongkutklao Hospital while relevant officials are investigating the disease as well as tracking his close contacts for disease inspections.

As we have already reported this morning, transport minister Saksayam Chidchob has recently proved positive for the virus and has immediately been admitted to Buriram Hospital this morning after reportedly having a high fever. Several MPs and cabinet ministers have also begun their 14-day state or self-quarantine today after potentially being exposed.

A total of eight Thai celebrities so far have also revealed themselves with positive results of the Covid-19 Coronavirus as many of them have been visiting Thonglor areas during the cluster.

Thai singer Stamp Apiwat, actor Pepo Nutchapan, and famous Youtuber Sor-Dor-Style announced on their social media accounts of having positive results of the Covid-19 Coronavirus yesterday after attending a private event at a hotel in the Thonglor area on April 2nd, where a guest was previously confirmed with Covid-19 infections.

As of this afternoon, famous badminton player Bodin Isara and DJ Wichian Kusolmanomai also posted on the social media platforms that they tested positive for the virus after reportedly going to entertainment venues in Thonglor and Ekkamai areas.
