Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccines planned to be distributed in Thailand as soon as being approved by Thai FDA

Zuellig Pharma Company has joined Moderna, Inc. to distribute Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccines throughout Asia, including Thailand, as soon as it has been approved by the Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Zuellig Pharma’s Chief Executive Officer John Graham revealed today, April 30th, that Zuellig, through its commercial division ZP Therapeutics, together with Moderna, Inc had prepared for the vaccine allocations in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, reaffirming their commitment to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic across the world.

Graham stated: “We are committed to making healthcare accessible through innovation, commercial excellence, and strong in-market capabilities that will not only improve healthcare but will also expand patient access around the world.”

General Manager Sunaina Kitkasetpaisarn of ZP Therapy, Zuellig Pharma Thailand, further added that the company was delighted to partner with Moderna to strengthen Thailand’s accessibility to the Covid-19 vaccine.

She said: “We are delighted to partner with Moderna to strengthen Thailand’s accessibility of the vaccine. Under the core mission of Zuellig Pharma, we will continue to enhance and increase accessibility and allocation to healthcare services and treatment innovation in many communities across Thailand and its regional levels.”

According to sources from both companies, Zuellig Pharma and Moderna, Inc. are currently in the process of Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine registration with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for distribution approval. The import and allocation will proceed as soon as the registration is completed.

The company will coordinate closely with the Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO) in order to quickly and efficiently distribute vaccines across the country.
