RECAP: Thailand announces 3,667 new cases of Covid -19 and 32 additional deaths

Thailand:

Thailand reported 3,200 new domestic cases with 435 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 32 imported cases, marking a total of 3,667 daily infections, with 32 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

This makes a total of 185,586 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections in early April.

Additionally, 153,532 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 4,948 people were released yesterday. The chart below shows total cases and recoveries since the original outbreak last year, however.

Among the local 3,200 new domestic cases, excluding the cases at the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in Bangkok with 1,218, Samut Prakan with 495, Samut Sakorn with 171, Pathum Thani with 167, and Chonburi with 145.

The fatalities were 15 men and 17 women aged between 40 to 89 from Bangkok (19), Nakhon Pathom (3), Samut Prakan (3), Petchburi (2), Khon Kaen(2), Samut Sakorn (1), Chonburi (1) and Chachoengsao (1).

Most of them were reported with underlying health conditions, including high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, high levels of fats in the blood, kidney disease, strokes, lung disease, cancers, and obesity.

Three of them did not reportedly have any health conditions.

181,588 people got their first vaccination shot yesterday with 81,827 getting their second, making a total of 7,483,083 doses.
