Thailand reported a total of 9,318 daily Covid-19 infections with 87 additional deaths in the past 24 hours, CCSA assistant spokesperson Aprisamai Srirangsan announced this morning, July 14th.
The fatalities were 39 men and 36 women from Bangkok (55), Pathum Thani (6), Yala (5), Narathiwas (4), Pattani (3), Samut Prakan (1), Chiang Mai (1), Chiang Rai (1), Kampangpetch (1), Chanthaburi (1), Chachoengsao (1), Chonburi (1), Tak (1), Nakhon Panom (1), Rayong (1), Songkhla (1), Sukothai (1), Suphanburi (1), and Udon Thani (1). The age range was between 24 and 104 years old.
Most of them were reported with underlying health conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, kidney disease, obesity, stroke, heart disease, and lung disease. One of the fatalities was during pregnancy and the six others did not reportedly have any health conditions.
Of the new cases, 7,159 were found in hospitals and medical services (which includes contact tracing cases), 2,021 were from a proactive approach at previously reported clusters, 129 were from prisons, and the remaining eight were imported cases.
Regarding the non-prison local infections, the highest numbers of patients were reported in Bangkok with 2,332, followed by Samut Prakan with 1,006, Samut Sakhon with 577, Chonburi with 513, Pathum Thani with 398, and Nonthaburi with 347.
A total number of 322,488 people nationwide have received Covid-19 vaccines in the past 24 hours. Of that, 289,175 people had received their first shot and 33,313 people had received their second shots.
As of today, 5,129 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 363,029 cases with 260,584 recoveries and a total of 2,934 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
