Phuket –
Phuket officials last night (July 18th) announced new rules for domestic visitors from 76 provinces in Thailand: They must be fully vaccinated AND tested negative for Covid -19 which will take effect tomorrow (July 20th) until at least August 2nd.
The new order was issued by Phuket Governor Narong Woonciew. These rules below will be applied for both Thais and foreigners who live in Thailand except children under 6 years old traveling with parents.
The order comes as, according to Narong, an increasing number of people have been attempting to leave “maximum control” provinces under strict restrictions, closures, curfews, and other measures and come to Phuket, which is the only “yellow” or controlled zone in Thailand and has far more relaxed measures than the rest of the country currently as the pilot program of the Phuket Sandbox program.
You can read more about the Sandbox here.
