27-year-old woman who was found dead in Samut Prakan apartment test positive for Covid-19, local police confirm yesterday

A 27-year-old woman who was found dead in an apartment in Mueang Samut Prakan was proved positive for Covid-19 Coronavirus, local police confirmed yesterday evening, September 4th.

The woman, who was identified only as Jiraporn, was discovered lying unclothed in a room on the second floor of an apartment complex yesterday. Four used condoms were scattered nearby on the floor and possible bruise wounds were reportedly found on her neck and dried blood was found on her nose, mouth, and pillow.

Later, Police Colonel Termras Jindawat, the Muang police station chief, revealed that the result of the Covid-19 ATK test from the deceased was found positive. However, the autopsy result has not yet been reported by the doctors whether she has died from the infection or not.

The investigation regarding the cause of the death is still undergoing, according to the chief. The preliminary examinations found that she did not have any particular problems with anyone.

Colonel Termras said: “From footage from surveillance cameras, the suspect can be anyone. Those who were believed to be involved are summoned for questioning. Everything is in process of collecting evidence and fact-checking.”

“The condoms found at the crime scene are also under examination. We cannot reveal more details of the investigation just yet.”
