RECAP: Thailand announces 11,375 new cases of Covid -19 and 87 additional deaths

Thailand reported 11,174 domestic cases of Covid-19 with 184 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 17 imported cases, marking a total of  11,375 daily infections, with 87 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

This makes a total of 1,597,741 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections in early April in Thailand.

Additionally, 1,468,847 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 13,127 people were released yesterday. The chart below shows the total cases and recoveries since the original outbreak last year.

Among 11,174 local new domestic cases, excluding the cases in the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in Bangkok with 1,241, Yala with 738, Samut Prakan with 646, Chonburi with 638, and Nakhon Si Thammarat with 524.

The fatalities were 44 men and 43 women all Thais. Twenty-three of them reportedly have chronic health problems. Four of them did not reportedly have any health conditions.

Thailand has a total of 54,581,395 vaccines given, with 237,298 first jabs, 517,255-second doses, and 42,030 third doses were given yesterday.
