Japan’s government has donated additional 385,210 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccines to Thailand to help alleviate the spread of Covid-19 Coronavirus, the Thai government reported today, October 15th.

Government spokesperson Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana told the Associated Press that Japan’s government has announced their donation of 385,210 shots of AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccines. The vaccination has been shipped and will arrive in Thailand today evening.

The spokesman stated: “General Prayut Chan-O’Cha, as the Prime Minister of Thailand and Minister of Defense, would like to express his gratitude to the Japanese government for continuously providing assistance to the Thai government in alleviating the epidemic situation of the Covid-19 Coronavirus.”

“Previously, Japan has delivered AstraZeneca vaccines to Thailand 4 times, totaling 2,043,100 doses, together with Oxygen Concentrators and has been helping with vaccine transportation as well.”

The Thai government will thoroughly and comprehensively allocate the vaccines to the people nationwide before being able to reopen the country as well as stimulate economic activities and improve the domestic situation, Thanakorn concluded.
