1. Thailand will enter winter season by the end of October, according to Thai Meteorological Department
Winter is coming! According to the Meteorological Department, the colder air masses that would prevail to cover upper Thailand would cause a lower temperature or colder weather in upper Thailand. People, especially those who are living in the North and the Northeast of the country, would feel the breezy and chilly weather from this week onwards. However, a Thai famous marine biologist predicted that the winter situation in Thailand this year may not be as cold and long as expected.

2. Many official details on Thailand “reopening” in November to low-risk vaccinated foreign tourists were published overnight
This is probably the most anticipated topic for both Thai and foreigners last week. Briefly speaking, Thailand has now approved quarantine-free entry from November 1st for fully vaccinated tourists from Covid-19 from 46 countries to visit Thailand and they must have been in their home approved countries for 21 days or more with some required documents upon arrival. Fully vaccinated travelers who are not from the 46 countries are welcomed but must go through a 7-night mandatory stay in 17 “Blue Zone or Sandbox” zones and test negative for Covid-19 before being able to visit other parts of Thailand. 3. 560,000 doses of Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine to arrive in Thailand next month, estimated by November 5th
Zuellig Pharma confirmed that the first lot of 560,000 doses of Moderna Covid-19 vaccines are scheduled to be delivered in Thailand by the first week of November and an additional 1.9 million doses out of 6.8 million doses of the purchased mRNA vaccines are set to arrive in Thailand by the end of this year. Since the vaccine delivery has been postponed for a month from the first originally scheduled in October, many Thai people, especially those who have already made a reservation with private hospitals nationwide, are still uncertain about the announcement in terms of whether the vaccine would be arriving just in time as claimed by the distributor.
