RECAP: Thailand announces 8,467 new cases of Covid -19 and 69 additional deaths

Thailand reported 7,574 domestic cases of Covid-19 with 880 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 13 imported cases, marking a total of 8,467  daily infections, with 69 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

This makes a total of 1,931,176 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections in early April in Thailand.

Additionally, 1,815,592 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 8,288 people were released yesterday. The chart below shows the total cases and recoveries since the original outbreak last year.

Among 7,574 local new domestic cases, excluding the cases in the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in Bangkok with 809, Chiang Mai with 487, Songkhla with 462, Nakhon Si Thamarat with 449, and Pattani with 437.

The fatalities were 36 men and 33 women. They were all Thai with an average age between 19 to 98.

Ten of them reportedly had chronic health problems. Four of them did not reportedly have any health conditions.

Thailand has a total of 79,517,972 vaccines given, with 290,945 first jabs, 537,716 -second doses and 33,187 third doses were given yesterday.
