A village chief in the Don Mod Daeng district of Ubon Ratchathani urgently reported to the police about a naked man in the village on Friday afternoon, November 5th, only to find out he was a mannequin.

Police from the Don Mod Daeng Police Station arrived at the scene around 4:30 PM. on Friday after being informed by the Bang Yang village headman Mongkolchai Phongsri that there was a naked man standing by the wall of a villager’s house scaring other residents. Mongkolchai believed the naked man was mentally ill and urgently requested police to come visit.

Upon arrival, the naked male figure was found as reported by the village headman. However, as officials walked closer, it turned out to be a male mannequin.

The police did not take any action against the headman but only found the story amusing. Villagers and the house owner also laughed at the report after being informed by the officials.
