Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O’Cha paid a visit to Krabi for a mobile cabinet meeting to discuss tourism stimulus measures for popular tourist destinations in the Southern regions this morning, November 16th.
The meeting will primarily discuss the acquisition of budget allocations in the southern Andaman provinces (Krabi, Phang Nga, Phuket, Trang, Ranong, and Satun) for the development of several local projects, totaling tens of billions of baht.
Preventive measures to prevent the domestic spread of Covid-19 Coronavirus will also be mentioned during the morning meeting. Additionally, the cabinet is preparing to approve a draft to grant migrants in specific circumstances to live in the Kingdom, as proposed by the Ministry of Interior, and the draft to exempt fees for the renewal of tourism business licenses and tour guide licenses.
Prior to the meeting, the Prime Minister and ministers, wearing local batik shirts from Krabi, visited the Andaman Southern Province Group Exhibition where villagers have brought and presented their local products, such as coffee-processing products, clothes, etc., to the ministers.
The Thai Prime Minister, Prayut Chan O’Cha, also participated in a photoshoot showing the natural beauty of the area, an example of a photo taken is the cover of this article. The pictures have been widely shared online, with passionate responses as to the photoshoot by “netizens.”
