Hua Hin gives permission for selling alcohol at qualified restaurants after weeks of business owner requests

Prachuap Khiri Khan –

Two sub-districts in Prachuap Khiri Khan provinces were approved for alcohol beverage sales and drinks at qualified restaurants, according to the announcement by the provincial communicable disease committee on December 1st.

The sub-districts are Hua Hin and Nong Gae, located in the “Blue Zone” areas of the Hua Hin district.

According to the official announcement below, local restaurants with SHA certificates are allowed to serve alcoholic beverages to customers until 10:00 PM. The establishments must strictly follow the Covid-Free Setting rules and other preventive measures as issued by the provincial committee to prevent the spread of Covid-19 Coronavirus.

TPN Media noted that this marks the third approval of alcohol drinking in certain areas of tourist pilot provinces so far this week. Chonburi, which contains the tourist zones of Pattaya/Sattahip/Koh Larn and parts of Si Racha, has still not been granted permission as of press time, despite weeks of protests from business owners locally.
