RECAP: Thailand reports 4,079 daily Covid-19 infections with 39 additional deaths

Thailand-

Thailand reported 4,044 domestic cases of Covid-19 with 19 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 16 imported cases, marking a total of 4079 daily infections, with 39 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

This makes a total of 2,135,996 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections in early April in Thailand.

Additionally, 2,062,827 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 7,302 people were released yesterday. The chart below shows the total cases and recoveries since the original outbreak last year.

Among 4,044 local new domestic cases, excluding the cases in the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in Bangkok with 664, Nakhon Si Thammarat with 371, Songkhla with 226, Surat Thani with 146, and Chonburi with 140.

The fatalities were 16 men and 23 women (37 Thais, 1 Myanmar, and 1 Dutch) with an average age between 40 to 102.

Ten of them reportedly had chronic health problems. Twenty-seven of them were aged more than 60. Two of them did not reportedly have any health conditions.

Thailand has a total of 97,177,327 vaccines given, with 125,704 first jabs, 159,220-second doses, and 70,643 third doses given yesterday.
