RECAP: Thailand reports 3,111 daily Covid-19 infections with 26 additional deaths

Thailand-

Thailand reported 2,845 domestic cases of Covid-19 with 154 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 112 imported cases, marking a total of 3,111 daily infections, with 26 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

This makes a total of 2,194,572 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections in early April in Thailand.

Additionally, 2,141,068 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 3,241 people were released yesterday. The chart below shows the total cases and recoveries since the original outbreak last year.

Among 2,845 local new domestic cases, excluding the cases in the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in Bangkok with 430, Chonburi with 310, Ubon Ratchathani with 150, Samut Prakan with 113, and Nakhon Si Thammarat with 103

The fatalities were 14 men and 12 women (All Thais) with an average age between 39 to 95. Nearly all had health issues or were elderly, at 96%.

Six of them reportedly had chronic health problems. Nineteen of them were aged more than 60. One of them did not reportedly have any health conditions.

Thailand has a total of 104,278,364 vaccines given, with 61,134 first jabs, 151,440-second doses, and 171,179 third doses given yesterday.
