Thailand Children’s Day toned down this year due to outbreak of Covid -19

Thailand’s Children’s Day is annually held on the second Saturday of January every year. However this year Children’s Day 2022 activities are being toned down due to concerns around the Covid-19 Coronavirus outbreak.
Each year, the prime minister Prayut Chan-o-cha’s gives a new slogan for children. This year the slogan for Children’s Day can be translated as, “Thorough Thinking with Society Responsibility.”

Chonburi government offices are not holding any in-person Children’s Day activities this year. They stated that due to the number of Covid -19 new and confirmed cases in Chonburi, prevention measurements have to be continued.

Chonburi will NOT hold any in-person Children’s Day 2022 activities due to Covid, but New Year’s, music festivals to continue in Pattaya

Meanwhile, private sectors such as the Central Marina department store is holding Marina Kids Day 2022. Children are being invited to join activities such as a BOZO SHOW and WORKSHOP until tomorrow (January 9th).

They noted the place is safe with Safe Plus+ and strict Covid-19 measurements. Every staffer is fully vaccinated and has an ATK (rapid antigen) test before work.
