Thailand reported 7,501 domestic cases of Covid-19 with 22 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 270 imported cases, marking a total of 7,793 daily infections, with 18 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.
This makes a total of 92,973 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections in the beginning of this year, January, 2022.
Additionally, 48,630 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 5,202 people were released yesterday. Among 7,501 local new domestic cases, excluding the cases in the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in , ฺBangkok with 777, Samut Prakan with 681, Chonburi with 525, Phuket with 420 and Nonthaburi with 419.
The fatalities were 11 men and 7 women (16 Thais, 1 British and 1 American) with an average age between 44 to 92. 83 percent of them had prior health issues or were elderly.
Two of them reportedly had previous chronic health problems. Thirteen of them were aged more than 60. Three of them did not report personal health problems.
Thailand has a total of 108,916,435 vaccines given, with 56,398 first jabs, 144,824-second doses, and 401,265 third doses given yesterday.
