Covid19 Antigen Test Kits (ATK) sales from the Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO) were sold out as soon as the online sale started at 9:00 A.M. on its website today, January 17th, according to local media reports.
On Friday,the GPO announced the first day of online sales for the ATKs would be available at the beginning of the week via gpoplanet.com at the inexpensive price of 35 baht per piece.
The tests are sold in a box of 700 baht per box, containing 20 test kits. The online sale started at 9:00 AM. and is available for people and representatives across the country.
However, local media reported that the website was inaccessible and crashed as soon as the online sale began, making it impossible for customers to order. There was no clarification from the Government Pharmaceutical Organization or related departments regarding the problems in any way.
After the crash was restored, it was reported that the product was sold out. The confusion and the website problem had brought widespread criticism in social media and among those who wished to purchase.
