Thailand’s Meteorological Department warns of variable weather in upper Thailand from Thursday

The Thai Meteorological Department today, January 19th, issued a weather warning of the variable weather in upper Thailand from January 20th to the 22nd.

According to the announcement, a westerly trough will move through the North, the upper Central, and the upper Northeast of Thailand from January 20th to the 22nd. Outbreaks of thundershowers and gusty winds will occur in the first period, after that the temperature will decrease. The temperature in the northern areas will drop by 3-5 °C and other parts of the country will drop by 1-3 °C. On mountain tops in the North, a minimum temperature of 1-8 °C and frost is expected in some areas.

People in the area should beware of the severe conditions by keeping off the field areas, large trees, and unsecured billboards. Farmers should be cautious of possible crop damage.
