Thailand reports 10,490 daily Covid-19 infections with 21 additional deaths

Thailand reported 10,185 domestic cases of Covid-19 with 88 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 217 imported cases, marking a total of daily infections, with 21 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

This makes a total of 262,687 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Additionally, 206,894 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 8,479 people were released yesterday. The chart below shows the total cases and recoveries since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Among 10,185 local new domestic cases, excluding the cases in the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in ฺBangkok with 1,495, Samut Prakan with 986, Chonburi with 548, Nonthaburi with 452, and Phuket with 407.

The fatalities were 13 men and 8 women (All Thais) with an average age between 27 to 102. 100 percent of them had prior health issues or were elderly.

Four of them reportedly had previous chronic health problems. Seventeen of them were aged more than 60.

Thailand has a total of 116,628,065 vaccines given, with 44,122 first jabs, 79,112-second doses, and 393,948 third doses given yesterday.
