Thailand reports 22,818 daily Covid-19 infections with 52 additional deaths

Thailand reported 22,566 domestic cases of Covid-19 with 115 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 137 imported cases, marking a total of daily infections, with 52 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

This makes a total of 781,379 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Additionally, 580,997 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 18,462 people were released yesterday. The chart below shows the total cases and recoveries since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Among 22,566 local new domestic cases, excluding the cases in the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in ฺBangkok with 2,809, Chonburi with 1,126, Nakhon Si Thammarat with 1,067, Samut Prakan with 891 ands Samut Sakorn with 670.

The fatalities were 33 men and 19 women ( 51 Thais, 1 Myanmar). 92 percent of them had prior health issues or were elderly.

Eight of them reportedly had previous chronic health problems. 40 of them was aged more than 60.

Thailand has a total of 124,649,712 vaccines given, with 87,203 first jabs, 28,665-second doses, and 137,820 third doses given yesterday.
