Thai man, 21, arrested for allegedly shooting his injured rival to death in Bueng Kan’s hospital emergency room

A Thai man, 21, was arrested yesterday, April 9th, after allegedly breaking into an emergency room and shooting his injured rival to death at Pak Khat Hospital in the Bueng Kan province at the early hours of Saturday.

The suspect, whose name was only revealed to the press as Bunyarit, was found at Bueng Kan Hospital for medical treatment after he reportedly fled from the scene.

Footage from Pak Khat Hospital captured the moment when Bunyarit rapidly entered the emergency room with a gun at around 01:20 AM. and began shooting at an injured man who attempted to escape the attack. The patient, whose name was withheld, was unfortunately pronounced dead afterwards. Nurses scattered and ran during the crash.

The initial investigation of Bueng Kan police revealed that the outrageous case began with a quarrel and a fight between the young men at a restaurant. One was reportedly injured and rushed to the hospital where the shocking shooting occurred.

Bunyarit told the officials that he personally did not have a history with the victim but the deceased was previously having a disagreement with one of Bunyarit’s gang members. Both of them met each other again on Saturday at the restaurant. At the scene, they were both drunk and eventually led to the physical attack. Bunyarit was seriously injured on his arm and the victim to his head, according to the suspect’s statement.

Bunyarit immediately rushed to the Pak Khat Hospital after hearing that the victim was being treated there and angrily fired at him twice before escaping the scene and rushing for treatment in Kalasin province. Bunyarit was under the custody of the Bueng Kan police for further legal proceedings.
