Thailand reports 23,015 daily Covid-19 infections with 106 additional deaths

Thailand reported 22,863 domestic cases of Covid-19 with 57 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 95 imported cases, marking a total of daily infections, with 106 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

This makes a total of 1,725,434 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Additionally, 1,521,298 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 27,626 people were released yesterday. Among 22,863 local new domestic cases, excluding the cases in the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in ฺBangkok with 2,932, Nonthaburi with 1,082, Khon Kaen with 994, Chonburi with 981 and Samut Prakan with 712

The fatalities were 62 men and 44 women (104 Thais, 1 Myanmar, and 1 Cambodian). 97 percent of them had prior health issues or were elderly.

Twenty-three of them reportedly had previous chronic health problems. Eighty of them were aged more than 60.
Thailand has a total of 131,448,508 vaccines given, with 25,036 first jabs, 24,875-second doses, and 73,051 third doses given yesterday.
