Thailand reports 24,134 daily Covid-19 infections with 115 additional deaths

Thailand reported 23,875 domestic cases of Covid-19 with 134 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 125 imported cases, marking a total of daily infections, with 115 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

This makes a total of 1,749,568 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Additionally, 1,548,295 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 26,997 people were released yesterday. The chart below shows the total cases and recoveries since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Among 23,875 local new domestic cases, excluding the cases in the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in ฺBangkok with 3,221, Chonburi with 1,034, Khon Kaen with 909, Nonthaburi with 746, and Nakhon Si Thammarat with 731.

The fatalities were 56 men and 59 women ( 113 Thais, 2 Myanmars). 98 percent of them had prior health issues or were elderly.

Twenty-three of them reportedly had previous chronic health problems. Ninety of them were aged more than 60.
Thailand has a total of 131,604,438 vaccines given, with 27,573 first jabs, 28,989-second doses, and 99,368 third doses given yesterday.
