Eighteen gamblers arrested in Thalang raid

Eighteen gamblers have been arrested after a gambling den raid in Thalang.

A team of the Thalang officials raided a gambling den at a house in the Thep Kasattri sub-district yesterday (October 24th). Eighteen gamblers have been arrested who are eight men and ten women who were playing cards.

The raid came after officials received complaints that there was an illegal gambling circle in the area.

They were taken to the Thalang Police Station. They are facing charges of joining in illegal gambling. One of them who is also a house’ owner is facing additional charges with operating an illegal gambling den.

The names of the suspects were not released to The Phuket Express.
