Pattaya police issued two arrest warrants for two Chinese suspects who allegedly abducted a 40-year-old Chinese national from Pattaya Walking Street and amputated his finger for a ransom.

The Pattaya Provincial Court on Tuesday, November 1st, issued two arrest warrants for 30-year-old Chinese suspect Mr. Zhang “Tatao” Delong and another Chinese suspect, Mr. Zhang Weje, for allegedly kidnapping, detaining, and causing harm to Mr. Ren Heibo for a ransom.
Tatao had already been arrested and is currently detained for overstaying in Thailand for more than 400 days on a student visa, according to Pattaya police. He still denied both allegations as of press time.
Pattaya police are hunting for Zhang Weje. Reports said that the abductors knew the victim.
Correction: Earlier articles incorrectly stated the victim’s age as 41. Ren Heibo is 40, Pattaya police clarified.
