Phuket suffers serious flooding during rush hours

Phuket –

Many areas in Phuket suffered from floods during rush hours after rain continued for two hours with high tide causing traffic jams for many hours.

The rain hit many parts of Phuket after heavy rain started from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M yesterday (November 23rd) with a high tide as well complicating flooding.

Many areas were flooded such as at Samkong Intersection to Yaowarad Road, Soi Pa Nieang, Wichit, Boat Plaza, Rassada, Baan Mai Reab and Kuan Lim San in Kathu, and Baan Bang Wan in Kamala.

There were traffic jams on many roads in flooded areas such as on Yaowarad Road in Phuket Town, Phra Phuket Kaew Road in Kathu, and Sakdidet Road and Chao Fah Tawan Tok Road in Wichit.

Water in the Bang Yai Canal in Phuket Town was seen flowing into the sea at the Saphan Hin area.
