More than 900,000 visitors have visited Phuket since May 1st, says Thai Immigration

More than 900,000 foreign and Thai tourists visited Phuket since May 1st.

The Phuket Immigration Chief Colonel Thanet Sukchai told the Phuket Express. “From May 1st to November 27th, the total number of all nationals’ visitors is 934,164. Of those 914,746 are foreigners and 19,418 are Thai visitors.”

Meanwhile the Phuket Walking Street Sunday Market, also well known as ‘Laad Yai’ is still full of Thai and foreign tourists every week.

The Vice President of the Old Phuket Town Community Mr. Somyos Patan told the Phuket Express. “The market is one of the most important tourism destinations in Phuket which is a ‘Must’ for visitors to visit the signature market in the Phuket Old Town. More Thai and foreign tourists are coming to the market as the beginning of the high tourism season.

Currently, Russian tourists are leading arriving visitors with Indians second as you can see here.
