Phuket Tourist Association organized “Phuket Roadshow to Saudi Arabia 2023” in Jeddah

On 26 January 2023, Mr. Thaneth Tantipiriyakij, President of Phuket Tourist Association together with Mr. Chaiwat Tamthai, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Dubai and Middle East Office, led more than 30 Thai tourism operators to organize “Phuket Roadshow to Saudi Arabia 2023” at Marriot Hotel in Jeddah. More than 40 Saudi tourism companies in Jeddah attended the event to take stock of the business opportunity in Phuket and to participate in a business matching with the Thai counterparts.

On this occasion, Mr. Kitinai Nutakul, Consul-General welcomed the participants by reiterating his team’s readiness to support the Thai business sectors in Saudi Arabia. Consul-General also congratulated the businesspersons on their successful visit to Riyadh and Dammam earlier and emphasized on Phuket’s potential to promote tourism cooperation with Saudi Arabia, especially a bid to host Specialized Expo 2028 under the theme “Future of Life: Living in Harmony, Sharing Prosperity”.

In addition to business matching and exchange of information, Consul-General along with Mr. Apichart Presertsud, Director of Thai Trade Center in Jeddah took part in a lucky draw activity where awards were presented for Saudi companies’ representatives.
