Krabi –
Nine Swedish tourists have survived after a long-tailed boat capsized in Krabi.
The Head of the Than Bok Khorani National Park Mr. Weerasak Srisajjang stated to the Thai media that they were notified of the incident on Sunday (February 5th) near the Hong Island in the Khao Thong sub-district, Mueang Krabi.
Rescue teams went to the scene to find nine male and female Swedish nationals and the boat captain in the sea near the long-tailed boat which was capsized. They were all rescued and safely taken back to land.
It has been reported that the tourists were taking photos on one side of the boat which caused the boat to lean over. Water leaked into the boat before it capsized. They were all wearing life jackets.
