Malaysian Tourist Rescued After Slipping and Falling on Boat in Krabi

A Malaysian tourist has been rescued after getting seriously injured following slipping and falling on a boat near Lanta Island in Krabi at night.

Koh Lanta National Park officials told the Phuket Express that on Sunday (March 12th) at 8:00 P.M they were notified that a Malaysian tourist had sustained severe injuries after slipping on a boat after a large wave hit the boat around 5:00 P.M..

The tourist was with other friends for fishing outside the national park area. The location of the boat was about 90 kilometers from the national park station.

Officials arrived at the boat and the unidentified Malaysian tourist arrived at a hospital at 3:28 A.M. on Monday (March 13th).

The tourist was described as being in serious but non-life-threatening condition as of press time by Koh Lanta authorities.
