Heavy Storms in South Thailand Take At Least Four Fishermen’s Lives

Nakhon Si Thammarat –

At least four bodies were found and six people have been rescued after many local fishing boats capsized in Nakhon Si Thammarat during recent heavy storms.

The Nakhon Si Thammarat Public Relation Offices told the Phuket Express that storms hit many parts of Nakhon Si Thammarat on Sunday (April 16th). Waves were up to four meters high in the open sea especially in the Sichon and Tha Sala district in the north of the province and in the Hua Sai and Park Panang district in the south of the province.

Many local fishing boats were reportedly capsized and many fishermen were reported missing. As of Monday morning (April 17th) at least four bodies were found and six people have been rescued.An air search from the Royal Thai Air Force continues as of press time.
