Thai Meteorological Department Warns of Potential Rain, Heat Wave Continues

The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) has warned of possible rain across multiple regions along with high waves in the sea.

The TMD has forecasted in the daily weather report on Thursday (May 18th) that western and southwest winds are covering the Andaman Sea in the southern part and in the Gulf of Thailand.

More rain is taking place in the southern parts of Thailand and heavy rain in some areas are possible, a chance of about 60 percent in those areas. Waves in the Andaman Sea are up to two meters high and more then two meters in thunderstorm areas. Boats in the Andaman Sea should proceed with more caution. The highest temperature can be up to 37 degrees Celsius.

The northern, northeast, central, and western parts of Thailand may have possible rain, a chance of about 20 percent, with the highest temperature at 39 degrees Celsius.
