Thailand’s biggest Indian Wedding Fair is back for its 10th edition!

PRESS RELEASE:

Bangkok, THAILAND – The beloved Masala Wedding Fair, widely recognised as Thailand’s largest and most popular Indian wedding exhibition, is back again this year for its 10th Edition, its biggest and best one yet. The two-day fair will be held on Saturday 10th June and Sunday 11th June, at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, and will bring together under one roof a diverse range of stakeholders involved in the Indian wedding industry. A not-to-be-missed event, the fair will feature over 100 booths with the best in fashion, jewellery, F&B, and more, and is the perfect opportunity for anyone to experience first-hand the extravaganza that is a big, fat, Indian wedding.

Thailand has long been celebrated as a world-class wedding destination for both local Indian couples and those coming from abroad, and the robust Indian wedding industry continues to grow from strength to strength. In this post-pandemic landscape, it is projected that the number of Indian visitors to Thailand, and specifically for Indian weddings, will only continue to rise.

It is expected that as the Indian wedding industry grows, so too will the calibre and average spend of each event, and this bodes well for the industry’s contribution to the Thai economy. The Masala Wedding Fair’s 10th Anniversary not only celebrates a decade of providing a one-stop-shop for anyone looking to attend Indian celebrations and events of all kinds, but also a decade of being a key player in fostering the growth and promotion of Indian weddings in Thailand.

Like last year, the Masala Wedding Fair will be held at the Thai Chitlada Grand Ballroom at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park. The magnificent five-star hotel, one of the city’s largest properties, was chosen specifically for its expansive and impressive event facilities, cutting-edge equipment, and established experience in hosting grand Indian celebrations. In previous years, the two-day fair has attracted the attention of Key Opinion Leaders, influencers, community members and media from the Indian market, both locally and abroad.

This year, the fair will focus on providing visitors with more choice ever, including an ever-expanding F&B section populated with some of the biggest names in the industry from around the Kingdom. Expected to welcome over 5,000 visitors with over 100 local and international exhibitors, visitors can look forward to the likes of Michelin-starred restaurant GAADiageoWilliam Grant & Sons, and Alchemy, global leaders in the beverage industry; celebrated Indian gin Stranger & Sons all the way from Goa; as well as long-established names in the Indian F&B scene, such as Punjab Grill, Indus, Red Catering, Rang Mahal, and more.

Beyond the mouthwatering cuisine and beverages from around the world, the fair will showcase unrivalled opportunities to shop goods and services one would need to plan or attend a dream Indian wedding, as well as products suitable for brides and grooms-to-be, honeymooners, experienced vendors and planners looking to expand their network, and those who will be attending a wedding or special occasion in the near future. Some of the industry’s most sought-after fine jewellery houses and fashion brands will be found at the fair, including Khanna Jewellers and Bangkok’s own Suwannee by Sam. There will also be a dedicated kids’ corner for visitors with families; and a health and wellness section offering complimentary massages, screenings and consultations in between shopping sprees.

For a full weekend of fun, the event will present live entertainment spanning some of the most talented singers from the community, for those who wish to experience the vibrant atmosphere and exuberance of an Indian wedding. The aim is to appeal to all types of visitors, so the Masala Wedding Fair is inviting everyone to attend, and the admission is completely FREE.

Whether you’re searching for the venue of your dreams, hunting for a one-of-a-kind outfit, or curating a list of photographers, ethnic decor, and F&B options for events of any size or description, head to the Masala Wedding Fair, where you can find all these, and more.
