Phuket Airport Confirms Escalators are Safe

Phuket International Airport has checked more than 30 escalators in which they have confirmed all are safe.

The director of the Phuket International Airport Mr. Monchai Tamod and associated relevant experts checked escalators at the airport. Mr. Monchai told the Phuket Express there are in total 27 elevators and 31 escalators in the airport. All of them are checked on a monthly and yearly basis. “We are always concerned about safety in the airport. The airport has attained all of the necessary safety standards”.

Meanwhile, experts who checked the escalators and elevators told the Phuket Express that all escalators at the airport are all new types that have been upgraded in their safety, especially with the addition of safety censors. If there is something stuck, they will immediately stop.
