On November 21st, 2023, Mr. Chada Thaiseth, the Deputy Minister of the Interior, publicly gave a policy to prevent and suppress influential figures across Thailand, which kicked off on December 1st, 2023.
The policy will integrate with the Thai administrative department, police, military, and all related agencies at the provincial and district levels in urgent action.
Chada publicly revealed the guidelines to tackle a list of suspected influential figures according to provincial information and relevant agencies.
The people suspected of being influential figures and involved individuals (Red Code) must be tackled with decisive action within 3 months. Furthermore, the provincial officials must report their performance results on a monthly basis.
In the case of people on the watch list (Yellow Code), all relevant agencies must perform an investigation, and collect evidence for further legal process within 6 months. Furthermore, the provincial officials must report their performance results every two months.
Additionally, other people who have suspicious behaviors or are involved in illicit substances, are loan sharks, and other illegal activities must be tackled at the local level in every part of the region.
