Thailand Ranks 47th Globally in World Economic Forum’s 2024 Travel & Tourism Development Index

On May 23rd, 2024, Thai national media reported that the World Economic Forum (WEF) published its Travel & Tourism Development Index 2024 on May 21st.

The Index evaluates the environment and other important factors for travel and tourism, focusing on the general conditions necessary for operating and investing in a country.

Thailand ranked 47th globally with a score of 4.12 points. The United States topped the list with 5.24 points, followed by Spain with 5.18 points, and Japan at 3rd place with 5.09 points.

In Asia, China ranked 8th globally with 4.94 points, and Singapore ranked 13th with 4.76 points. Within ASEAN, Thailand ranked 4th, trailing behind Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
