At 8:15 AM on June 5th, 2024, Pak Khlong police officers received a report of a gruesome murder from a concerned citizen who discovered a body by the roadside under the Udon Ratthaya Expressway in Mueang Pathum Thani, Pathum Thani.
According to the police, the victim’s body was found partially hidden in a bush, with her legs visible among garbage bags. The body was wrapped in a bed sheet and secured with three black leather belts at the knees, waist, and neck. Additionally, dumbbells were used to strap the body down.
The 18-year-old victim had a fatal neck wound, and both her hands above her wrists were missing. It is estimated that she had been dead for more than six hours. Her identity has not been disclosed to the public.
The discovery was made by an unidentified body shop owner who reported seeing a man on a motorbike acting suspiciously. The man was observed throwing something into the bush where the body was later found.
He then returned to the scene and covered the body with trash bags from a nearby trash can. At 5:40 AM, the body shop owner took a picture of the suspect, suspecting illegal activities such as drug dealings or littering.
In response to the report, Pak Khlong police apprehended the suspect at a residence in Pathum Thani. The suspect, whose name has been withheld, had reportedly attempted suicide by overdosing on pills before being transported to Krungsiam Hospital for immediate medical treatment.
The police plan to interrogate the suspect to uncover the motive behind the murder before proceeding with legal action.
